On the day before the Duanwu Festival, China’s top furniture brand CAMERICH took over part of Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park to celebrate the festival with a dragon boat tournament. The event was a perfect expression of the company’s core values of sincerity and ambition, and the sportsmanship of health and constant improvement.
Under the hot sun, the still, clear water reflected the blue sky. A white banner on the water caught everyone’s attention. It was held by CAMERICH General Manager Fu Haijun, who was smiling and waving on a sailboat, ready to give the starting signal.
Colorful fireworks exploding in the sky kicked off the tournament amid cheers of amazement. The multicolored fireworks symbolized the rich and varied life at CAMERICH, and they drifted away on the wind like happy dandelion seeds…
After their rigorous training, the crews couldn’t wait to show their skill. In the clouds of mist and water, dozens of dragon boats dashed forward to the sound of pacing drums and cheering horns. It sounded and felt rather like soldiers running toward the battlefields!
Individual stamina and team work are the key to winning. Training had focused on synchronizing the oar movements for the greatest momentum, and did it show! Synchronized, harmonized, the boats cut through the water, racing toward the finish.
After several splashing and splendid races, it was time for the finale. “One race is only a few minutes, but there are hours of training and teamwork behind it! I did my best, and feel good about it!” said one player.
After fierce competition, it was time to announce the winners and hand out the awards. The team captains all took their medals, laughing out loud, for the “medals” were lollipops of different sizes to symbolize the various prizes. The largest lollipops were bigger than a face, while the smallest were one-bite tidbits. It ruthlessly showed the deserving winners and the poor losers, and everyone had a good laugh for it.
“If I compare CAMERICH to a dragon boat, we can easily see that everyone is a driving force,” said Ms. Wang Yanning, CAMERICH Brand Operation Director. “‘United, people can move Mount Tai,’ as the proverb goes. If we bring this spirit to work every day, we can sail farther than we can imagine. So, let’s appreciate all our colleagues and create beautiful memories together!”
